First Peoples: A guide for Newcomers? – This guide introduces immigrants to three important topics: who are Aboriginal people (or First Peoples) in Vancouver and Canada; a brief overview of the relationship between the Government of Canada and First Peoples; and ways for immigrants to learn more about Aboriginal people in the community.
Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks ?– Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) are used across Canada to assess English language levels. This website explains the benchmarks and how they are used. It also has some English learning and teaching resources and English language assessment information and tools. The Centre and this website are funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

BC Health Guide in Chinese, Farsi, French, Punjabi – The BC Health Guide Handbook has comprehensive information on how to recognize and manage common health problems. Learn about preventing illness, home treatment options and when you should see a doctor. This guide was developed and is updated by the Province of British Columbia.
Refugee Health?– This website provides information on refugees to BC and the healthcare services available to them. The website has information about the Canadian healthcare system, common illnesses, where to find doctors who speak languages in addition to English and other information that is important to providing effective healthcare to refugees. Some information is provided in different languages. This website is supported by Bridge Refugee Clinic, the Province of British Columbia, Vancouver Coastal Health, and the BC College of Family Physicians.
